We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains which data we collect when you visit padel-post.com, how we use it and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server log files
The website runs on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When you access it, our web server automatically records: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, the page requested and the date and time of the request.
This data is required for the technical operation and security of the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Server log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest.
3. Cookies and local storage
Necessary (no consent required): padel_edition stores your chosen edition/language (12 months), pn_consent stores your decision on analytics cookies (12 months), Cloudflare may set __cf_bm for bot protection (30 minutes).
Only with consent: Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*, up to 2 years). See our cookie policy for details.
4. Services we use
Cloudflare (CDN and security). We use Cloudflare, Inc. as a content delivery network and for protection against attacks; IP addresses and connection data are processed. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Cloudflare privacy policy.
Plausible Analytics (self-hosted). For anonymous audience statistics we use a Plausible instance operated by Golf Post AG itself. Plausible sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses; visits are counted using a daily rotating hash. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in audience measurement without personal reference).
Google Analytics 4 (only with consent). If you consent in the notice, we use Google Analytics by Google Ireland Limited to analyse usage. Cookies are set and usage data may be transferred to Google LLC servers in the USA (EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Google privacy policy.
Embedded posts (X, Instagram, YouTube). Some articles and live blogs contain posts from X (X Corp.), Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) or YouTube (Google Ireland Limited). When you open such pages, your browser connects to these providers, which may set cookies and process data. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. X, Instagram, Google/YouTube.
Google Fonts. Fonts are loaded from servers of Google Ireland Limited (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com); your browser transmits your IP address to Google. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent presentation). We are working on serving the fonts ourselves. Google privacy policy.
Map tiles (CARTO / OpenStreetMap). On map pages your browser loads map tiles from CARTO (basemaps.cartocdn.com) based on OpenStreetMap data; your IP address and the map area are transmitted. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (showing locations).
AI assistant. If you use the chat assistant, we send your input via our server to Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, USA) to generate an answer. Please do not enter personal data. We do not store conversations permanently. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR (providing the requested feature).
Product images. In the equipment section, product images are loaded directly from the respective manufacturers' and retailers' servers, which receive your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (showing the products).

We currently do not collect any data for newsletter purposes. If we introduce a newsletter, we will update this policy and ask for your explicit consent.

Some articles are produced with editorial AI assistance; this is noted in the article. No personal data of our visitors is processed for this.
